Shari Vilchez-Blatt created Karma Kids Yoga, NYC’s only yoga studio dedicated just to children, in 2002 and has served infants through teens and their families ever since. Having built a strong community of young yogis in one of the largest cities in this country, Karma Kids Yoga offers classes for babies, toddlers, kids, teens, families, prenatal, postnatal, Circusyoga, yoga storytime, Pajama Yoga, Downdoll Yoga, Superhero Yoga, Pirate Yoga, Star Wars Yoga, Frozen Yoga, Butterfly yoga, Glow-in-the-Dark Yoga and more! You can also find the Karma Kids Yoga program and many daycares, preschools, elementary, middle and high schools around all of the boroughs of New York City.
Shari created the renowned Karma Kids Yoga Teacher Training in 2005 and has trained over 2500 people around the world how to teach yoga to children through this program, as well as early childhood educators, elementary, middle and high school teachers through KKY’s Yoga In The Classroom and Yoga in the Preschool Classroom courses. She also created KKY’s Teen Yoga Teacher Training Intensive, a course that focuses just on the population that needs yoga most – Teenagers. Shari has developed yoga programs for many schools and consults on various healthy living articles for numerous Parenting magazines, health and wellness and parenting blogs. You may also find her on Sesame Street, playing yoga with Murray and Ovejita!
Shari, with the help of her musician husband and some of KKY’s best singers, also produced the Gold Mom’s Choice Award-Winning album, Come Play Yoga!, an eclectic mix of original kids yoga music. And more recently created on-demand videos for Family Yoga, Baby Yoga and Prenatal Yoga.
