Cheryl Crawford and Amy Haysman

Cheryl Crawford Amy HaysmanCheryl Crawford and Amy Haysman co-created Grounded Yoga, Laughter, Elevation in 2007 to serve their kid and teen yoga students who were ready to go deep.

Cheryl, mother of triplets, taught elementary school for 11 years to the children of Atlanta in Fulton County Public Schools where she worked as an elementary school teacher, Reading Recovery specialist and curriculum coordinator.  Cheryl began her yoga journey soon after her three daughters were born, and as her practice evolved it became clear to her that she had to blend and balance her new dedication to yoga with her lifelong passion for teaching. Cheryl has been a yoga teacher since 2003. She is certified in Correlation Vinyasa (200 RYT), Hot Core Power, and Anusara (500 RYT) as well as YogaKids (Teacher Trainer), Radiant Child, Laughter Yoga and Street Yoga.

Amy found yoga in 1995 shortly after transitioning from teaching Middle School Literature and Social Studies and mentoring student teachers to being a mom dedicated to raising her two boys. It wasn’t long before the distinctions between being a school teacher with a Master’s degree in Education, student of yoga, and parent dissolved and her life’s calling was revealed. Amy is certified with YogaKids, Mitchel Bleier Yoga (200 RYT), Anusara (200 RYT), Radiant Child, Laughter Yoga and Street Yoga.

Their mission is to inspire and empower the younger generation and create a a world-wide network of teachers, facilitators, and students of all ages who by being grounded themselves are in a desirable position to ground others. Grounded is a Yoga Alliance recognized school and offers a 95 hour program approved for the registered children’s yoga teacher certification (RCYT).
